November 13, 2007 PTO Minutes Introductions were made of all in attendance. Secretary Report: President’s Report: New business: Fundraiser – ideas and suggestions for a spring fundraiser are welcome.Parents have expressed some alternatives such as bake sales, car wash, etc. instead of the traditional catalog of items for ordering. Tormasi Benefit – there is a benefit being planned for the Tormasi family by their friends and family members on December 1st.They are accepting items for a raffle, bakedgoods, etc.Look for more information to be distributed. Vice President: Treasurer: Volunteer Coordinator: Principal’s Announcements: Mandy Stabley is working on a food drive for classrooms to donate benefiting the Mid Ohio Food Bank.Non perishable items will be collected in the classrooms. Financial contributions can also be made and are tax deductible. Conger website home page now has a mail box symbol where you can sign up for the list serve to receive e-mails of Conger news and upcoming events.There are privacy measures in place if you do not want other members to have access to your e-mail address. The library earned over $2000.00 in books from the fall book fair.Mr. Stewart thanked all of the parents who volunteered and purchased books during this event. Ohio Reading Achievement test results for 3rd graders are in.Conger 3rd graders set and all time high with a 125 increase in students who scored in the advanced level! This is the highest in and Delaware City School!A total of 33% of Conger 3rd graders scored in this advanced level!Congratulations to the 3rd grade class and teachers for this achievement! Box Tops / Labels:Megan Hill said that 5,104 box tops have been cut and will be submitted, earning a check for $510.40.Our goal for this school year is 8,300 box tops.Miss Bik’s class won the contest for collecting the most box tops.
